On Tuesday, March 25, former Porter Ridge High School standout Caleb Gant’s current college team, the Catawba Indians, lost 10-4 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Belmont Abbey Crusaders.
The game took place at Newman Park. This was their second matchup against the Crusaders this season.
The Indians’ next game is scheduled for Wednesday, March 26 at 4 p.m. at Newman Park against North Georgia Nighthawks.

The House has passed Congressman Mark Harris’s Cashless Bail Reporting Act requiring federal reporting on jurisdictions using cashless bail for serious offenses. Harris says this measure aims at greater transparency following concerns over recent violent crimes.
