Former Weddington High School standout and current Yale Bulldogs player, Jimmy Randazzo will compete in the NCAA Division I FCS Football Championship.
They begin the tournament as a number 15 seed against the 15th seeded Youngstown State Penguins.
The first game is on Saturday, Nov. 29 at 12 p.m.
Wingate University in North Carolina allocated $503,567 to men’s basketball teams in 2024, which is $1,183,291 below the state average of $1,686,858, according to the U.S. Department of Education.
Men’s basketball teams from Union County received $503,567 during the 2024 season, down 12.2% from the previous year.
Women’s basketball teams from Union County received $486,618 during the 2024 season, down 28.1% from the previous year.
