On Saturday, April 19, former Porter Ridge High School standouts Kayla Purdy and Madison Stamper’s current college team, the Valparaiso Beacons, lost 2-1 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Belmont Bruins.

The game took place at E.S. Rose Park. This was their third matchup against the Bruins this season.

The Beacons’ next game is scheduled for Wednesday, April 23 at 5 p.m. at Melissa Cook Stadium against Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
