On Friday, May 16, former Marvin Ridge High School standout Mauri Murray’s current collegiate team the Elon Phoenix lost 2-5 against the South Carolina Gamecocks in the NCAA Division I Softball Championship.

The game took place at Carolina Softball Stadium at 5:55 p.m. and was the first matchup against the South Carolina Gamecocks in the tournament.

The Elon Phoenix’s next game will take place on Saturday, May 17 at 4:15 p.m. at Carolina Softball Stadium.
