On Monday, April 14, former Marvin Ridge High School standout Drew Wheeler’s current college team, the Kutztown Golden Bears, lost 6-3 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Bloomsburg Huskies.
The game took place at North Campus Field. This was their second matchup against the Huskies this season.
The Golden Bears’ next game is scheduled for Tuesday, April 15 at 1:30 p.m. at Danny Litwhiler Field against Bloomsburg Huskies.

The House has passed Congressman Mark Harris’s Cashless Bail Reporting Act requiring federal reporting on jurisdictions using cashless bail for serious offenses. Harris says this measure aims at greater transparency following concerns over recent violent crimes.
The City of Monroe has launched its new mass notification system called Monroe Alerts. Residents can now receive emergency updates as well as community news via text message, phone call or email.
