On Saturday, March 22, former Metrolina Christian Academy standout Will Brooks’ current college team, the Davidson Wildcats, won 19-11 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the VCU Rams.
The game took place at Wilson Field. This was their second matchup against the Rams this season.
The Wildcats’ next game is scheduled for Sunday, March 23 at 1 p.m. at Wilson Field against VCU Rams.

The House has passed Congressman Mark Harris’s Cashless Bail Reporting Act requiring federal reporting on jurisdictions using cashless bail for serious offenses. Harris says this measure aims at greater transparency following concerns over recent violent crimes.
The City of Monroe has launched its new mass notification system called Monroe Alerts. Residents can now receive emergency updates as well as community news via text message, phone call or email.
