On Friday, April 11, former Porter Ridge High School standouts Kayla Purdy and Madison Stamper’s current college team, the Valparaiso Beacons, lost 2-1 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Illinois State Redbirds.

The game took place at Valpo Softball Complex. This was their first matchup against the Redbirds this season.

The Beacons’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, April 12 at 2 p.m. at Valpo Softball Complex against Illinois State Redbirds.
