Rep. Mark Harris, a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from North Carolina, posted a series of tweets on December 15, 2025, addressing healthcare policy and legislative efforts to protect children.
In his first post at 15:52 UTC, Harris criticized the Affordable Care Act, stating “Obamacare was destined to fail.” He tagged Newsmax in the tweet.
Later that day at 18:47 UTC, Harris addressed child protection laws. He wrote “NEW: Protecting children from sexual exploitation is one of the government’s most sacred duties—yet loopholes in the law allow predators to evade justice and exploit minors. I’m fighting to fix this and equip law enforcement with tools to prosecute criminals fully.”
One minute later, he shared a link for further information about his proposed legislation, posting “Read more about my new bill in the @RealDailyWire:” along with a URL.
The Affordable Care Act (ACA), commonly known as Obamacare, was enacted in 2010 with the goal of expanding health insurance coverage and reducing healthcare costs across the United States. The law has been subject to ongoing debate and numerous attempts at repeal or modification since its inception.
Efforts to strengthen protections against child sexual exploitation have been an area of bipartisan focus in Congress over recent years. Lawmakers have introduced various bills aimed at closing legal loopholes and providing additional resources for law enforcement agencies tasked with investigating these crimes.
