Representative Mark Harris, a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, recently shared a series of statements on social media addressing issues related to federal spending, public broadcasting, and free speech protections for religious leaders.

On July 10, 2025, Rep. Harris expressed his stance on the allocation of taxpayer funds in relation to immigration policy. He stated, “Great news! Not one cent of Americans’ hard earned tax dollars should be going to benefit illegal aliens.”

Later that same day, Rep. Harris called for changes in federal funding for public broadcasting services. He wrote, “DEFUND PBS & NPR!!” on July 10, 2025.

On July 11, 2025, Rep. Harris advocated for legislative action aimed at protecting religious leaders’ rights to free speech. He urged Congress to pass his proposed legislation by stating: “Congress MUST pass my Free Speech Fairness Act to protect the free speech of American pastors. For years, I received letters threatening to bring the might of the IRS down on me and my church. It’s simply unacceptable for Christians’ First Amendment rights to be targeted.”

Rep. Mark Harris is a Republican congressman from North Carolina known for his advocacy on conservative social and fiscal policies.
