On Saturday, March 22, former Metrolina Christian Academy standout Perry Hargett’s current college team, the North Carolina Tar Heels, lost 3-2 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Boston Eagles.
The game took place at Harrington Athletics Village. This was their second matchup against the Eagles this season.
The Tar Heels’ next game is scheduled for Sunday, March 23 at 1 p.m. at Harrington Athletics Village against Boston Eagles.

The House has passed Congressman Mark Harris’s Cashless Bail Reporting Act requiring federal reporting on jurisdictions using cashless bail for serious offenses. Harris says this measure aims at greater transparency following concerns over recent violent crimes.
The City of Monroe has launched its new mass notification system called Monroe Alerts. Residents can now receive emergency updates as well as community news via text message, phone call or email.
