TOWN OF INDIAN TRAIL: Indian Trail to Host American Red Cross Blood Drive

Blood

Town of Indian Trail issued the following announcement on Apr. 23.

Indian Trail to Host American Red Cross Blood Drive

As the COVID-19 pandemic unfolds across the world, critical blood supplies have decreased. In an effort to increase the supplies, the Town of Indian Trail has partnered with the American Red Cross to host a blood drive on  April 30, 2020, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Carolina Courts (240 Chestnut Parkway). To schedule an appointment, visit www.redcrossblood.org and use the sponsor code Indian Trail.

According to the Red Cross, blood donation is a safe process, and people should not hesitate to give and receive blood if they are able. At each blood drive, Red Cross employees follow thorough safety protocols. In addition to their standard procedures, they have established enhanced safety features, including:

  • Pre‐Donation Donor Temperature Screening before entering the blood drive
  • Enhanced Disinfecting
  • Social Distancing
  • Hand Sanitizer
  • All staff members will have a temperature check before presenting to work
  • Increased Educational Materials
  • Donor educational materials on COVID‐19.
If you are in good health, please consider donating.

We would like to thank the American Red Cross for their partnership and Carolina Courts for generously offering to host the event.
