Union County issued the following announcement on Oct. 28.
The Union County Christmas Bureau needs your help to help those less fortunate in Union County this holiday season. Please consider volunteering your time or donating much needed gifts and food for children age 18 and younger in Union County. There are several ways to give back:
Volunteering
Sign up to volunteer to help between Nov. 2 and Dec. 21. Opportunities include processing family applications and helping at the Monroe Mall location of the Christmas Bureau.
Donate Toys, Gifts, or Stocking Stuffers
Unwrapped gifts are needed early! Please drop your donations off at the Christmas Bureau location (Suite 200) at the Monroe Mall (rear of former Sears building) between Nov. 2 and Nov. 20.

Stockings
Pick up empty stockings from the Christmas Bureau starting Nov. 2, fill them and bring back by Dec. 11. Click here for stocking stuffer ideas. Consider making baby and teenager stockings which often run low.
Sponsor a Child/Family
Sponsor one or more families by contacting us via email or call 704-296-4312. This is an opportunity to sponsor a child or a family and fulfill all of their wishes! All donations are due at the Christmas Bureau by Dec. 11.
Food Drive
All families we serve will receive non-perishable food along with their gifts for their holiday dinner. Food donations will be collected later in the season from Nov. 30 to Dec. 11.
The Union County Christmas Bureau is donor-funded and volunteer-driven. In 2019, Union County Christmas Bureau served 1,641 families, worked with 463 volunteers, and donated 15,844 gifts. The Christmas Bureau was featured in the Telling Union County Stories initiative. Click here to watch the short story and hear how the community is vital to the operation.
