Home prices increased in Waxhaw during December 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in December 2018 in Waxhaw rose by $52,000 while total sales decreased by 28.6%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In December 2018, there were 35 homes sold, with a median sale price of $395,000 - a 15.2% increase over the $343,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 49 homes sold in Waxhaw in December 2017.

The median sales tax in Waxhaw for 2018 was $2,497. In 2017, the median sales tax was $2,616. This marks an decrease of 4.5%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 0.6%.
