124

Richmond Community College recently issued the following announcement.

Richmond Community College will open a conversation about the hiring challenges employers are facing in 2022 at its Morning Mingles in March.

“Hiring Post COVID” will be the topic for discussion for the Morning Mingle on March 1 at the Robinette Building and March 24 at the Scotland County Campus. Both Mingles will start at 8 a.m. with light refreshments.

“We will have a panel of specialists from our community who will provide information about best hiring practices during these challenging times,” said RichmondCC business instructor Kelley Beam, who is spearheading the quarterly gatherings at the college facility in downtown Rockingham. “This is a great opportunity to mingle with community leaders, local employers and other members of the community who have a shared interest in finding solutions for the new and evolving work environment.”

Human resources, career planning and business personnel will provide their perspective on hiring incentives and recruitment of new employees. Staff will also be on hand to share resources that are available through RichmondCC’s Career & Transfer Center.

“We hope people will join us for the Morning Mingle on March 1 and gain some insight and some answers on how to help get people back on track to building careers and better lives,” Beam said.

The Morning Mingle is free and open to the public. Call (910) 410-1700 for more information.
