Waxhaw 101 is designed to help residents get to know Waxhaw

Waxhaw 101 is designed to help residents get to know Waxhaw staff and the inner workings of their day. It is comprised of ten (10) sessions occurring once a week, for ten consecutive weeks, on Wednesday evenings. All sessions will be held at the Waxhaw Police Department Training Room, 3620 Providence Road South, beginning at 6:00 PM and concluding around 8:30 pm. Session Topics and dates are as follows:

9/7/2022 – Session 1: Course Intro and Our Government

9/14/2022 – Session 2: Parks & Recreation/Community Events

9/21/2022 – Session 3: Planning & Inspections

9/28/2022 – Session 4: Communications/Human Resources/IT

10/5/2022 – Session 5: Engineering/Downtown

10/12/2022 – Session 6: Fire Protection

10/19/2022 – Session 7: Public Services

10/26/2022 – Session 8: Local Law Enforcement

11/2/2022 – Session 9: Board of Commissioners & Advisory Boards

11/9/2022 – Session 10: Budget & Finance

Are You Eligible?

To be selected, you must live in the Town of Waxhaw city limits and be willing to commit the time to this informative and interesting program. The Town of Waxhaw will strive for diverse participation in this program.
