Domestic Violence Awareness Month

One in four families in Union County is affected by domestic violence. Here are some common signs of abusive behavior by a partner:

Telling you that you never do anything right.

Preventing or discouraging you from spending time with friends, family members or peers.

Showing extreme jealousy of your friends or time spent away

Insulting, demeaning or shaming you, especially in front of other people.

Intimidating you through threatening looks or actions.

Even one or two of these behaviors in a relationship is a red flag that abuse may be present. Text HOME to 741741 from anywhere in the U.S., anytime, to talk via text about any type of crisis including domestic violence.
