WASHINGTON – Congressman Dan Bishop expressed his strong opposition to the passage of the America Last bills in the House of Representatives. Bishop criticized the merging of separate bills through procedural maneuvers and highlighted his concerns about the implications of the legislation.

In his statement, Bishop condemned the actions of the House Republican leadership, referring to them as "Swamp creatures" for their role in pushing forward the bills. He accused them of betraying the American people by facilitating the allocation of funds for Ukraine while supporting the Biden administration's agenda.

Despite his support for aid to Israel, Bishop lamented the inclusion of this provision in what he described as a "Frankenstein America Last package." He also raised objections to the incorporation of various other provisions, including those related to the Indo-Pacific aid package and the ban on TikTok.

Bishop emphasized his commitment to advocating for the genuine interests of the American people and vowed to continue opposing what he perceives as a consensus among the political elite in Washington that neglects the needs of the citizens.
