Resolution condemning campus protests introduced by Representative Bishop and Senator Budd

Representative Dan Bishop (R-NC) led a group of U.S representatives today to introduce a resolution that, in his words, "condemns the violent, anti-American and anti-Israel protests that are occurring on campuses of institutions of higher education nationwide; and expresses its thanks for the patriotic actions of law enforcement in New York City and in Chapel Hill, the University of North Carolina interim Chancellor Lee Roberts, and fraternity brothers at the University of North Carolina."

The House resolution is co-sponsored by Representatives Greg Murphy, Tim Burchett, Randy Weber, Jeff Duncan, Andy Biggs, Dusty Johnson, and Andrew Clyde.

Meanwhile, Senator Ted Budd (R-NC) leads the Senate resolution. The list of sponsors includes Senators Mike Lee (R-UT), Marco Rubio (R-FL), John Barrasso (R-WY), Ted Cruz (R-TX), Jim Risch (R-ID), Joni Ernst (R-IA), Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), Tommy Tuberville (R-AL), and Mike Crapo (R-ID).
