Rep. Dan Bishop, a member of the U.S. Congress representing North Carolina’s 8th district since 2019, has recently shared his thoughts on various issues through social media posts. These tweets reflect his perspectives on the Department of Justice (DOJ) and civil rights.

On November 19, 2024, Rep. Bishop expressed anticipation about potential developments within the DOJ. He stated, "Bookmarked. I’m looking forward to learning what DOJ shreds. And who ordered it."

The following day, November 20, 2024, he highlighted the need for reforms in the Civil Rights Division with a brief comment: "It's time for a Civil Rights Division that protects civil rights."

On November 21, 2024, Rep. Bishop questioned the prolonged duration of an ethics committee investigation compared to a closed DOJ investigation from September 2022. He remarked: "Not only that, DOJ closed its investigation in September 2022. The ethics committee investigation has been open for TWO YEARS. Any legitimate issue could have been nailed down in Q1 2023. So why wasn’t it? The question answers itself."
