On Tuesday, April 1, former Metrolina Christian Academy standout Will Brooks’ current college team, the Davidson Wildcats, lost 12-0 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Duke Blue Devils.
The game took place at Durham Bulls Athletic Park. This was their first matchup against the Blue Devils this season.
The Wildcats’ next game is scheduled for Friday, April 4 at 3 p.m. at Houlihan Park against Fordham Rams.

The House has passed Congressman Mark Harris’s Cashless Bail Reporting Act requiring federal reporting on jurisdictions using cashless bail for serious offenses. Harris says this measure aims at greater transparency following concerns over recent violent crimes.
The City of Monroe has launched its new mass notification system called Monroe Alerts. Residents can now receive emergency updates as well as community news via text message, phone call or email.
