Leaf Vacumming 2022-2023

It's almost time for leaf vacuuming! Each street within the town limits will be serviced one time per week starting Monday, Nov. 7 and will continue through Friday, Jan. 27. In order to comply with current regulations, please have your leaves curbside by 7 a.m. each Monday morning and they will be removed at some point during that week. Routes will vary dependent on service demands and once your street has been serviced during a given week, trucks will not return until the following week.

Please refer to the following requirements for leaf removal:

  •  Leaf piles must be raked to the edge of the street. Equipment cannot reach piles that are not adjacent to the street.
  •  Please avoid placing leaves in ditches, if possible as this leads to storm drain blockages.
  •  Please DO NOT place leaves near or into the storm drains!
  •  Piles should consist of leaves only. Limbs, rocks and other items damage vacuum machines
  • and equipment. If these are observed within your piles of leaves, they will not be vacuumed.
  •  Please allow room for our large equipment and do not park on or near leaf piles. If this
  • occurs, the leaves cannot be vacuumed.
  •  Vacuum service will be suspended on inclement weather days but will resume as soon as
  • weather permits.
  •  Due to other obligations, vacuum service will not be conducted on Fridays each week.
  •  Please understand that during peak weeks, service could be delayed due to the volume of leaves.

We appreciate your patience and understanding while we work to conduct this service in a timely manner.

Should you have questions, please call the Public Services Department @704-843-7439. Thank you in advance for your cooperation!
