Car crash in Hornett County leaves two men dead from gun wounds

A car crash in Harnett County, North Carolina has left two men dead from apparent gun wounds. Deshawn Rico Martin, 28, of Angier, and Rodriguez Antonio McNeill, 34, of Bunnlevel, were found dead in a burgundy Nissan Armada after police were called to the scene of the accident. The incident occurred late Wednesday night near Campell University, and shocked residents of the usually quiet county.

Local citizen Jesse Ryals captured the accident on her surveillance camera, which also recorded the sounds of gunshots before the car crashed. According to Ryals, there were around eight to ten gunshots fired back to back, and it appeared that the driver was shot, causing the car to veer off the road. The video footage is currently the main focus of the investigation, as police continue to search for the suspect.

The tragedy has left the community in shock, with many residents expressing their disbelief that such a violent incident could occur in their peaceful town. Harnett County is known for its elder residents, who are particularly unsettled by the events. Authorities believe that the shooting was a targeted attack, but no further details have been released at this time. The investigation is ongoing, and the community is hoping for answers and justice in the wake of this double homicide.
