City of Hamlet issued the following announcement on Sept. 17.
Look what's happening on Main Street Hamlet on Friday, September 24th. Our very first Cruise In On Main Event will be in conjunction with the TGIF! Food Trucks on Main. The food trucks will start at 11 AM. The Cruise In On Main will run from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and the Cruise In classic vehicles will be parked on both sides of Main Street. D.J. Bob Nelson will be set up in front of the newly opened Buie's Cotton Gin Restaurant & Catering!
Also, Jerry Lamont of Hail Mary's Tavern will be holding a Corn Hole Tournament. The sign up will be from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and the cost is $10 per person blind draw. The tournament will begin at 7:00 p.m. You can bring your own bags or bags will be provided.
