City of Hamlet recently issued the following announcement.
Hamlet’s Annual Christmas Tree Lighting will be November 29th at 5:30 PM in Main Street Park. Santa and Mrs Claus will ride in on a fire truck all the way from the North Pole. Join us at the Depot to sit on Santa’s lap and enjoy cookies and hot chocolate (compliments of the Hamlet Fire Department) while you watch Polar Express. The Depot Gift Shop will be open for some Christmas shopping! Bring your letters to Santa and mail them in the mailbox set up in the entrance foyer.
