Pet owners, bring your fur babies for their rabies vaccine on Saturday, May 28, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Human Services Building.
Vaccinations are $10 and microchips are available for a small donation to the Friends of the Union County Animal Shelter.
You can also donate pet food and supplies to Union County Animal Outreach, who will provide it for a fur family in need.
Vaccinations will be provided by Union County Veterinarian Dr. Jeff Broadaway.
+ Pets need to be at least 12 weeks old to receive the rabies vaccine.
+ Leave all animals in your vehicle.
+ Have your driver’s license available.
NC State Law requires the owner of every dog, cat and ferret over four months of age shall have the animal vaccinated against rabies. Rabies vaccines shall be administered only by a licensed veterinarian or by a certified rabies vaccinator (CRV). (NCGS 130A-185)
